What is PMTA

In short, PMTA is Premarket Tobacco Product Application, A PMTA must provide scientific data that demonstrates a product is appropriate for the protection of public health.


PMTA Review Process

Once an application is submitted and accepted by the agency, the FDA has a 12-month timeline to review and approve the PMTA. During those 12 months, those items that submitted the application are still available on US.
